Need to regain control

My weight has as spiralled out of control. I'm currently 19st10 and am a male,41. I'm not sure where to start but I need to start NOW. should I just stick to 2000kcals? Any help please

Welcome! Set up your MFP profile, and it will suggest a calorie goal for you, suitable to your circumstances. It intends for you to set "activity level" based on routine daily life, then log exercise separately when you do it, and eat back those exercise calories, too. Your base calorie goal includes a deficit for the weight loss rate you requested (X pounds/kg per week). You follow that for a month or so, then adjust your goal if your weight loss is too fast for best health/sustainability, or so slow as to be near-invisible.
