I am sure this topic has been discussed & debated a billion different times, but I am wondering what everyone's take is on eating the extra calories from working out? I want to make sure my progress stays up so I am looking for the best advice to keep it going! Thank you!!!! :)

  • As you said, it's been debated a million times, haha. Personally, I eat most, of my exercise calories. The site is already calculating for you to eat less as a path to weight loss, but that calculates whatever state you tell it (in my case, minimal activity, I think). Problem is, if I do an hour's worth of working out, that means my body suddenly lacks the nutrients to make up for everything I just burned...I won't eat them all, sometimes that amount to too much, but I definitely eat a good chunk of them...

How does that affect you with loosing weight? Do you continue to loose at a good rate?
  • Eat them, eat them, eat them! I think I would starve to death if I didn't. As long and the exercise calories you are logging are accurate, you'll lose. If you want to lose a little faster i guess you don't have to eat all of them, but I swear it is working for me. calories in v. calories out. Good luck!

I eat them if I'm hungry, I don't eat them if I'm not hungry. Listening to what your body tells you seems the most sensible thing to do!

Eat them. Or at least most of them. Especially if you are close to your goal weight. For all the links, check out
