Be happy.

Why do people do it?
Here are my thoughts at the moment as I read through some threads.
--My logic is this....
I have been eating unhealthily (is that a word?) for 24 years.
I want to learn how to fuel my body, so it can and will work properly.
Yes, I am here to lose weight. But, that is just an added bonus for what I am doing for my body.
I do not want to restrict my body from the things I enjoy.
Therefore, if I crave chicken wings, I will have a few. (Hi, my name is Brittney and I am a chicken wing addict).
But when I hear people crying and whining over their binges, I believe they may have set themselves up for that and not realize it.
I HAVE DONE IT.
Back in January/February I started dieting with the goal to lose weight.
I did not like what I was eating.
Therefore, I was binging every other day.
Now, I've heard people say "I've done ______(insert fad diet there), and I've kept the weight off!"
I do not believe they are truly happy with that life style. I'm specifically talking about HCG which I just read a thread about, to be honest. Unless they truly hate food, then maybe they are happy with it. But let's be real...you didn't get here because you don't like food . You're body NEEDS energy, and if you haven't figured this out, we get energy from calories.
Overeating or under-eating or not eating are all examples of eating disorders. Binging too.
It is comparable to an addiction, in fact some people are addicted to food.
The only difference between say a drug addiction and a food addiction is this....drugs you are suppose to stop, food you are not.
You can do what you want, but please be happy in doing so.
You really need to be in the mind set for a lifestyle change.
And you have to be ready for mistakes.
We are human, we aren't going to be perfect.
That is all. Sorry if this was annoying.

There is nothing wrong with treating yourself, but keep it away most of the time. If you lived in a world that did not have pastries, you would not even realize that pastries exist.
Everything is perception. I have not had sweets in over 20 years. Boy did I crave it when I quit it. Now I don't even bat an eye when I see it. Everybody develops their peception at different times and speeds. I know that this world we live in with ready made easy accesible bad food that it has become the American lifestyle. When somebody is complaining, I think that it is just the addiction trying to gulp the last bit of air.
Imagine if there was no fast food down the street. Nothing. Just more houses and a grocery store. You would cook most of your meals. While you sit at home and get bored, you reach for the snack food. What would your snack food be. We all know about calories and what eating more than you burn does to you. So what is next..........
