Tonight, I made stir-fry pork and veg over white long grain rice. Tomorrow? My usual next-day go-to is fried curried rice with egg - but maybe it's time for new ideas - including breakfast!

I dont eat much rice and when I do make it and have leftovers, the chickens get it LOL
you can add cooked rice to a million things. soups, stuffed peppers, turn it into a fried rice. my ex was Japanese and ate taco meat over rice. weirdo. LOL2 -

Does anyone here portion and freeze their rice? I don't make white rice all that often, but since I only eat a half cup in a day, there is ALWAYS leftover rice. So it's either have it three days in a row or...???0 -
I do now that I have bought a Big rice cooker. ( my small one will now be the bean cooker) The last batch I made was this multigrain variety that you dont need a big serving of. I made way too much so I did freeze some so it wouldnt go bad. I like rice alot so I can eat it several days in a row without getting sick of it.0

There is no such thing as leftover rice with me....It's always disappearing with Indian food!2

I make a cup of Basmati every week now. It all leftover for me. Sometimes I'll just heat it up and put a can of Polar Salmon and soy sauce with it.
Polar Salmon is marvelous: I buy a 12 pack.

When I make meatballs, the first night I have them with spaghetti, and the next time I add chipotle powder and have them with rice and beans.
A Mexican friend told me about "chili beans." At first I thought, "What's the point? I can just add the spices myself." But they are super convenient. And interestingly, they last a lot longer in the frig than plain beans.
