new to my fitness pal

Hello, Im Sandi and I was wondering how everyone likes this app. I have been through many apps and I hope this one works. I am loosing weight due to being borderline diabetic. I live on sugar, but now I have to do without or lower to safe levels.

    Hi Sandi
I have been on here for a very long time, now at maintenance. My sister is borderline diabetic as well She finds this app helpful as she lost weight through walking and eating a bit cleaner. You can still have sugar, just the right choices.
    Best of luck!

Hi, Sandi, and welcome to MFP!

I like this app a lot. To me, calorie counting is like a fun science fair experiment for grown-ups: It really suits my nature. There was a bit of a learning process, but after the first couple of weeks, it was pretty easy. The people in the Community, in my experience, are very helpful about answering questions, and there are enough people hanging around who've lost weight with MFP and are maintaining, that there's some "voice of experience" from different personalities and perspectives.

Do you have a plan or approach you plan to use, to remodel your eating in the direction of less sugar, and put the diabetes potential into remission? (I do see posts here from people who've absolutely done that, so I know it's possible. With MFP, I've been successful in losing weight, maintaining a healthy weight since, and improving cholesterol/blood pressure into the normal range, but I didn't start with a concerning blood sugar level, so I don't have great personal advice about that part.)

    Wishing you great success!

I find it the best app. I watch and track my macros every day and also exercise and weigh myself. I also find it I wearing and a challenge to see how I have gone everyday.
