Well, it’s not stollen in a plastic bag, I can tell you that. I bought a package of marzipan stollen planning to have a pig out this evening. I just threw it out after one slice. Regret even eating that.

No comparison to the bakery stollen we had in Germany last Christmas.

    😢 for the calories wasted

My mom’s peanut butter fudge. I’ve already checked with her to make sure she’s making some this year.

Eggnog, real eggnog: Many raw eggs, divided and beaten separately; boatload of heavy cream, whipped; sugar (although honey or maple syrple will do fine); rum; bourbon; fresh-ground nutmeg; milk. Fold the lot together. So thick one has to eat it with a spoon; so intoxicating one will need a nap, soon.

If you don't think it's dessert, I don't think you've had the real thing. I wouldn't turn down pie alongside, though.

@AnnPT77 now you’re talking. Decadence in a mug.....sigh.....so many calories, and every calorie worth it❤️

As far as Christmas cookies go, all the traditional ones we bake are lifelong favorites, but if I had to pick one, it would be spritz. The original Fantasy Fudge is my favorite candy.

Toffee cookies. So simple and out of this world, especially when they’re a few days old or come out of the freezer.

Butter, flour, egg yolks, sugar, topped with melted chocolate chips and pecans.

If you hit them with a salt grinder right after they come out of the oven, they level up.

I love them all but if I had to pick my top 5 would be...

    white chocolate chip
    regular iced sugar cookie cutout
    gingerbread
    peanut butter blossoms
snickerdoodles (only the ones my mom makes with brown butter rolled in TONS of cinnamon sugar)

I have a Costco-size clamshell of peppermint bark on my kitchen counter right now. Have been trying to avoid eye contact.

I have been making creme caramel au bain marie in the microwave. Timing depends on size and whether you make a big one or ramekins. About 300 watts sets them without curdling them. I normally place individual ramekins into plastic food containers filled with hot tap water and zap at 300 watts about 20 minutes.
