Simply looking up a food

Why can’t I search for “carrots” for example, to see what the calories are, without having to add it to my diary? There’s no way to search for food unless you’re adding it.

I haven't found any way to search for a food except ulas a diary entry. Of course, you can cancel out and not actually add it

You can do it. Not sure about on the phone app but definitely on a computer:

you can also simply type 'calories carrots' into google and then chose 100gr as unit. It's usually pretty spot on.

Sure you can - don't start in your Food Diary which is for logging food.
Food - Database and just lookup.

you can go to diary type in food instead of enter right next to it green button says nutrition info will tell you all before you add not everything is entered correctly or they my not be tracking same nutrients. i sometimes look at a few to see which has the most info .. did not know about food data base thanks will check it out..

Where is Food-Database? On the iPhone app? I don’t see it.
