Good evening all,

Have started using the app on my iphone after a friend suggested it. Does it actually work am not sure if couting calories is going to be an easy task!

    I just started using mine on my Droid and I LOVE it! The BEST feature is the barcode scanner (if you have it available). It has definitely kept me motivated. I'm not saying I'm on target every day, but I'm getting better!
  • First off, welcome! We have a great little community here, I've only been a few days, and I'm already feeling like part of the family!

    The diary works great, just be totally honest about it, and it won't steer you wrong. It came as a shock to me... there's usually far more calories than I was used to ever eating every day, but I've actually been losing by eating more! I know it sounds paradoxical, but it's true. Plug in your info, and just follow the daily caloric recommendations, log any exercise you do, and you're golden!

    Fight the good fight! I lost 35lbs over 4 months just from calorie counting in my head and walking every day for 30mins, I LOVE this feature for entering in the details online so I am able to see the reports and how the foods i eat affect my health. little over a week using it and I can say it gets easier with time :)

    I joined mfp about 2weeks ago....and I love it!! Yes it does work...I love logging in my calories....it helps me to stay consious on my daily limit. You'll meet a lot of great people who are so supportive and motivational. You can add me as a friend if you'd like!:happy:
  • hello i joined my fitness pal. over a week ago. my mother recommended me to the site.i also have the app on my droid. i hate writing in journals and counting calories, if you want to lost wieght you just have to give in. it is a real eye opener on how much i was eating. i have a goal of 30 plus pounds, so far i have lost 9lbs.im excited to see whats ahead of me.

  • Just started a week ago. I'm trying to lose a few pounds I've gained over the past couple of years and I thought this may help me. I haven't really had a hard time losing weight in the past (pregnancy) but it seems as I've gotten older, the harder it's been. Plus my lifestyle has changed and I'm more sedentary now, although I do exercise daily. Hello to everyone!

    It has helped me a lot. I discovered this website a couple of weeks after making the commitment to loose weight.. and the community is great... so far I have lost 30 pounds... almost 20 since joining MFP...
