Sometimes drastic changes are good and it's the best thing you can do for yourself 💗 Life is too short to not live it to the fullest 🤗

Lonely. I can't go out anywhere because of the pandemic and I can't date because I'm fat and I still work freelance.

It's alright! I do my best to keep positive and to keep my mind off my worries or woes. My PTSD has gotten a lot better in the past few months so I'm happy about that, it's making my life a lot easier!

There's just so much going ooooonnnn. I can't keep up with it, so I'm putting more effort into losing weight. That's something more tangible and within my grasp/jurisdiction.

With the exception of this lockdown, my life is okay. I have relatives in the Philippines who are suffering with just trying to get food, so I'm lucky.

It's a day to day thing (sometimes hour to hour). Some good days, some not so good days. Today is a good day.

    • Currently waiting to be allowed to move to D.C. so we can go through training/classes so we can then move to S. Korea. The pandemic and all the ensuing chaos, has made an already slow process (getting paperwork processed through a government entity) glacially slow. So we've been in limbo since March of last year.
    • Trying to relax and enjoy my "nothing" time. I no longer volunteer for the BSA and I'm not being run ragged by trying to maintain an organization in which very few parents want to help out, but expect a few volunteers to do all the work (for close to 75 scouts and their families), so that's nice. I enjoyed helping out and doing things for the kids, but I despised feeling resentful that so few parents offered help and just expected a few of us to do all the work.. even more so during the pandemic. Sorry, a volunteer run organization doesn't work like that.

S Korea? Wow! Are you looking forward to and excited about the move? Good luck on your move :)

I get that about volunteering, especially in children's organizations or classrooms, etc. I did it a lot when my kids were little. I attended an open house; I think my ds was in 4th grade and the teacher had placed a sheet all about ways parents could help in her specific class. She later told me there'd only been 1 info sheet taken. It was me. How sad is that?? When I volunteered to be Den Mother for my ds' cub scout troop, the only help I received was another mom who would occasionally supply cookies. I never even got support from the leader; they were simply happy to fill a spot. :/

I'll be excited once this process actually starts and it looks like we're getting closer to it. Right now, the "hurry up and wait" aspect is still very much in effect and this class is supposed to start sometime in April... in D.C. and we're still here in another state, waiting for word and funds to move.

I am a little nervous about moving around with the pandemic and such going on, though. We won't be moving countries until later in 2021, though, so maybe things will improve by that point.
