amputation? that'll give you at least 4 weeks of massive loss (1 limb a week).
you're going to get told here that you need to do this properly. 1-2lbs a week. drink plenty of water, eat well and exercise if you can.0 -
Trying to lose massive amounts of weight in a rush is great if you only need to be skinny for a day or two. If you want to maintain your new weight, you need to take the time to work the extra weight off. You didn't gain it in a couple of weeks, so you can't get it off in a couple of weeks. The problem with using methods that help you lose too quickly is that you'll pile it all back on, and then some, as soon as you stop keeping to the diet.0

Assuming that you are motivated by health issues, which really is the only reason that you should get that worked up over a major change quickly, you need to adopt as many of the healthy living rules as you can as quickly as you can.
Add as many others as you are willing to take on one at a time after your initial adjustment.
Only start with what you KNOW you can stick with.
These are well-published and researched proven health guidelines and are probably not new to you.
Choose the ones first that you are committing to whole heartedly. As you start to see results you will get motivated to add more.
1 Get 7-8 hours of sleep each night, preferably with your body asleep by 10 pm if possible.
2 Set your weight loss goals such as recommended by MFP to include the right number of calories taken in. You will cause your body great stress if you take in too few good calories.
3 Limit intake of: salt, processed foods, dairy products, white starches and carbonated beverages.
4 Eat small frequent meals as opposed to calorie loading unless you specifically are loading up energy in preparation for a workout.
5 Drink water-not Koolaid, fruit juices or other substitutes-because your kidneys and liver need it to filter out all the waste your body produces in its normal day to day stuff, and even more so when you are losing weight.
6 Take time to destress. Read a book, spend time with pals, go for walks in your favorite area, etc. to mentally recharge
7 Eat at least 3 servings of fruits per day-research zero calorie foods to see which are the least likely to add to weight gain, and remember generally one serving is 1/2 to 1 cup.
8 Vary your vegetable intake so that it is colorful and as nonrepetative as you can get to provide a variety of vitamin sources. Research "superfoods" for the nutrient-packed choices that are naturally good for your health.
9 Whole grains are your friend. Replace refined flour for example with whole wheat. Choose barley or brown rice over white rice. Eat oatmeal (without butter or sugar) over quick breakfast cereals.
10 Give yourself a break and don't get frustrated over changes from day to day of up to 2 lbs. The goal is long term health, and by worrying over scale changes that can be water gain or even muscle increase is counter productive.
11 Keep moving. When on the phone, pace or do housework that can be done quietly enough not to interrupt the conversation. Get up 20 minutes earlier and take a quick walk before you get in the shower to start your day. Take another 20 minute walk after you eat dinner as well. Make a cardio workout a habit and not an exception.
12 Laugh, love and dream as often as you possibly can. Positive emotions release stress reducing hormones. Stress hormones are a leading cause of diseases, including obesity.
I wish you well and I know everyone on here will say the same thing-any "quick fix" is liable to end in a flaming crash of disaster. Very few things easily attained are worth having or of lasting quality.0 -
I agree with several others who have posted here - slow and steady is better than fast unless you're talking a medical issue. If you push yourself too hard, too fast, you may set yourself up for possible failure - loss like that is hard to sustain.
If you have a lot to lose, you may find you lose a lot up front, even if you're following the recommendations for losing 2 lbs a week.

Sorry, there is no way. You didn't gain your weight in a week, and you're not going to lose it in a week either.0
