Roller Coaster Junkie

So, the wife and I got a sitter last night and headed out to King's Island in Cincy. It was Pride night and there was literally no line at all for any coaster. I was pretty buzzed off some whiskey, beer, and a little herbal refreshment. I have to say it was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had at a park. 60 degrees, no lines, good friends, and NO KIDS!!!! We rode the Diamondback 10 times, the Beast 5 times, and pretty much every other ride in the park including the SkyFlyer! I must've seriously had an enlightening moment cause I just let myself go. I'm not a religious person at all, but to say I felt close to god is an understatement of epic proportions!!
Any other Roller Coaster/ Adrenaline junkies out there?

I LOVE roller coasters! I haven't had a chance to go to any parks in a while though :frown: Next place I'm going to is Cedar Point -never been0

Double post-
But seriously my idea of a great vacation would be to do a tour of great amusement parks0 -
A tour of parks would be fantastic. I've been hearing about Cedar Point but have never had the chance to go, definitely on a list of to do's!0

Been to Cedar Point, but it was at the time they were just building Top Thrill Dragster. But you like coasters like I do, then Cedar point has the best ones IMO. And I've been to several Amusement parks across the country.0

It's going to be hard to top the Diamondback.....that ride is the best I've ever been on, but I'm sure there are coasters out there that are better. Makes me all tingly just thinking about it. The thing I like best about that ride is the restraint. The cars are open and its only a tiny lap "bar" that holds you in. I can have my arms out and my legs out.....it's like being shot out of a cannon.....fantastic!!!!0

Only been to Six Flags and Hershey Park. Lines were killer, but the wait was worth every second. I loved every single ride. At Six Flags they had the Bungee Fly (actually I don't know if that's what it's called. The thing where they tie you to another person and push you bungee jump and end up flying sideways instead of up and down) that I wanted to go try SOOOO bad, but I was only with a friend and she refused, and I didn't want to be strapped to a stranger lol. Kingda Ka (sp?) was nothing, lasted like 5 seconds. I still can't figure out what all the hype was about. My favorite had to be Medusa b/c it had all the water/heat/wind effects. The first time on that one was AWESOME, after that you sort of know what to expect and it's not as cool haha.
What about sky diving? Man, I'm totally doing that before I die. I won't bungee jump over the ground (unless I'm going sideways like the thing at six flags, or it's over water, or there's a trampoline or something there) but I'd totally sky dive. Imagine chilling in the air, how awesome would that be?0 -

I did that xtreme skyflyer thing at King's Island with 2 others- it was a blast! The drop was 153 ft.
I also want to go skydiving much more than regular bungee jumping. I just want to be able to "fly"0 -
Yeah!!! The SkyFlyer was great! And for some reason they had dropped the price to 5 bucks, so it was even better.
I would definitely go sky diving. We have been talking about setting up a trip for a couple of years now, but it just never seems to pan out. I can't even fathom how awesome it would be to jump out of a plane. I would probably pee my pants a little, but it would be worth it!0 -
me!!!! One of my goals for loosing weight was to be able to get back on roller coasters. Im an adrenaline junkie big time. Kings Island and Cedar Point are my favorite parks so far.0

Took the kids to Hershey Park (Penn), about 7 years ago... they had about 14 different roller coasters, and I went on every one them at least twice.... the 2 or 3 most intense coasters I went on more times than I could count. Many I went on by myself, as my kids were too little then, and my (now ex) wife refused, as she was about as much fun as a root canal... :ohwell:
Loves me some roller coasters !!!0 -
we just went to Lake Compounce in Conneticut last month, My nephew & I went on the Boulder Dash, I swear my brain was still at the start track when exiting the ride:happy: thing goes 60mph if not more,
just love the adreniline rush from a good coaster :bigsmile:0 -
I LOVE roller coasters!
Been on a few different ones...
Six Flags, New Jersey (2)
Six Flags, Massachusetts (2)
Canobie Lake Park, New Hampshire (2)
Busch Gardens, Virginia (3) (Best ones IMO)
Touring the country in an RV going on every coaster sounds like a good retirement plan for when I'm rich and free....0 -
i'm a roller coaster junkie as well! this is ironic considering i'm TERRIFIED of heights0

I LOVE roller coasters! I can't wait until my 4 year old can go on some faster rides. Now he can go on the Runaway Train, but that's like a peck on the cheek compared to the thrill of a proper, grown up coaster.
My favourite, so far, has been the Chinese themed one in Universal Studios, Spain (Port Aventura)... I have the t-shirt somewhere (hey! It might even fit again now!). Most coasters make me laugh; that one made me scream
This thread has made me think: I'm a teacher in the private sector, but my son will have state school holidays.. I could pop to Chessington, alone or with a friend, and just ride big rides all day long :happy:0 -
Roller coasters are ah-mazing! I totally want to go to Cedar Point and just ride the rides until I'm sick, then continue to go on them after0
