Hi all , can someone please help me ?? I’m allocated 1640 calories as I’m trying to loose weight . I exercise 6 times a week and always have calories left over in the green , so what I want to know is if I’ve consumed my total of 1640 calories but say have 300 left in green does this mean I can eat them and still be in calorie deficit ??????? X

Yes. MFP is designed for you to log and then eat your exercise calories.5

Yes, the 1640 calorie goal number from MFP already has taken your deficit into account (So if you're losing 1 LB a week, it considers your base maintenance calories to be 2140... so 2140 - 500 = 1640).
If you exercise, then that calorie burn gets added to the 1640 for you to eat back per the MFP method.1 -
I needed this information cause I was so confused about the calorie deficit. Thank you2

Be careful though, often exercise calories are over estimated.3
