Calorie deficit

Options
Hi all , can someone please help me ?? I’m allocated 1640 calories as I’m trying to loose weight . I exercise 6 times a week and always have calories left over in the green , so what I want to know is if I’ve consumed my total of 1640 calories but say have 300 left in green does this mean I can eat them and still be in calorie deficit ??????? X

Yes, the 1640 calorie goal number from MFP already has taken your deficit into account (So if you're losing 1 LB a week, it considers your base maintenance calories to be 2140... so 2140 - 500 = 1640).

If you exercise, then that calorie burn gets added to the 1640 for you to eat back per the MFP method.

Be careful though, often exercise calories are over estimated.
