Goal Reachers and In-progress People: Show us your journey over time! (Weight Report)

I regularly visit the Success Stories forum for inspiration and motivation while I am working towards my personal health goals. Seeing everyone reach their goals is amazing and I love the before and after pictures. Over the past couple of weeks, I have plateaued. When you are in the thick of it, it is hard to see the progression over time. I probably visit my weight report on a daily visit to see how far I've come to remind myself to keep going.
I think what would be really inspiring is the overall trend of weight loss (or gain, depending on your goals) across your health journey. Instead of only posting a picture to show your AMAZING end-results (You should be proud! I'm proud of you too!), I have a request for another kind of post.
People who have reached their goal or are currently working towards it, would you please post a screenshot of those changes over time from your weight report?
Show us your daily ups, downs, and plateaus.
Show us how you just kept going.
Show us your battle over time.
This may let other people (like me) who are still working towards their goals see a little bit of ourselves in you and keep fighting when it feels like progress is slow!

I'll have to come back and post a pic. Its pretty much zigzagged with a downward trend. 100lbs down overall.

That zig-zag pattern (above) is very typical and normal. I think it can freak people out to see themselves seemingly take two steps forward and then one step back over and over. But it's not evidence of failure. That's just how this process works. Just watch the trends over time and make adjustments as needed. It's not a race. Hopefully, it's a permanent lifestyle change. As long as the overall pattern is trending downward, you're headed in the right direction, as the previous poster shows! Great work!9

I really like this post. I also check into the Success Stories to see what's happening with others. I've plateaued as well, but probably because of holiday time-off (from work, not tracking!) and the fact that it's winter. My motivation for crawling out of bed to go for a walk at 5am is finally waning. I did really well up until this point. I started reading the book Wintering by Katherine May. It puts the whole hibernation-thing into perspective. And that's okay. My brain has finally shifted into knowing what works and what is good for my body. It's just a matter of taking things day by day. Thanks for the post @ADM1RALSNACKBAR

I'm still fighting to bet to where I want to be but defiantly had some stalls in there. Just time to buckle down and smash my goal.

Thanks everyone for posting so far!
I am trying to reframe these fluctuations that naturally happen as building my resilience to the changes that happen to everyone as they work towards their goals.
As that resilience increases over time, when longer plateaus do happen, you are already in a healthy-enough mental space to know you just need to keep at it and, eventually, the scale will change. So, I am looking forward to seeing to the overall trend of others as well!
I can't wait to post mine when I have made a little more progress!4 -
I'm still fighting quitting smoking. Been re-focusing myself in 2021 after the end of 2020 where I started to slack off and dealing with sciatic nerve damage. Love these subs and all of you and you all inspire me to be better

I had lost a bit before the year started. Down 71 pounds since I started, 5 more pounds to be "healthy" weight and about 15-20 until I hit my goal! Yes, the zigzagging can be frustrating but one needs to trust the process to get through it!

Hello fellow MFP'ers! Starting from my Lifetime high 421 lbs in July of 2019, have now lost about 130 lbs. in the last 18 months. Now at 286. Gradually decreased daily calories using MFP, now at approx. 1,100 cal per day diet (mostly high protein, low carb) plus walking daily. About 40 more lbs. to go to reach my target goal of 250 lbs.
250 may sound high, but I am a big guy, 6"3", big frame, big build. For me it's slim!13 -
I am in the beginning of my journey with a long way to go still. Wt plateaus but happy it is a downward trend overall.12 -
Still working towards my goal but happy I got thru my fall plateau.
I'm 5'1 so I'm aiming for 110-115lbs more or less.

My journey started in August 2019, so the ups and downs are more difficult to see:
A 6 month view shows that it's not just a straight line 🙂

Here's my past 6 months. Definitely not a straight line. I hit 250 in January, and then....well it was less of a plateau, and more of a trampoline for a few weeks while I was on medication that messed with my water retention. As soon as I got off the meds, I was able to slide off of that trampoline and get back on track.
The scale is great for keeping track of things, but there are so many factors that can cause weight fluctuations. You have to really trust that your efforts will pay off as long as you stick with it through the plateaus and trampolines.

I’m 53 years old. Losing weight was my quarantine project. I’ve lost 31 pounds in 7 months. It sounds like a slow pace, but it took me 10 years to pack it on, so I don’t mind exercising a little patience. If I can do it, you can too!

Maintenance* over the past seven months...
*I'm still looking to lose maybe 5-7 pounds but I feel no urgency about it.4 -
First big loss in 2012/2013... Then gained back alot the 2016 took another dip, then gained back again after many injuries, then finally refocused in January 2020 and did it again for the last time. I've lost 118 pounds from my heaviest weight.9 -
Started this latest diet at 164.4 on Jan 18. Currently 135.4 as of yesterday morning. Working to get back down to about 133 before I got back to maintenance.5 -
This is my original graph for 2014-15 (85kg-ca.72.5kg):
Here's my "maintaining" graph for 2015-16 (you can see this is drifting upwards though...):
Here's another maintenance graph for 2016-17, showing the sudden upsurge in summer 2017 (medication ):
And here is my current weight loss graph (88kg-ca.75kg), in maintenance range since December - with a long plateau of being around 76kg) but still losing and in progress:
Lots of plateaux and ups and downs here! I'd like to get so that my weight is a hovering below 75kg.

Thats kilograms.
I weigh daily and note in down but on log drops of a kg or more.

This is weekly weigh ins (I actually weigh daily and use a trending app which has a smoother line, but also log my Monday weight on mfp). I'm trying to maintain now, but actually still dropping a little as I try to dial in my maintenance calories.

Around August of 2019 up to 2 days ago. Around 30 lbs to go to hit the goal weight of 250 which is self imposed for no real reason 😂
