I can’t lose weight

I started doing exercise and changing my diet on the first week of January, it’s February and i’ve actually ended gaining weight. I train 6 days a week, 30 min of cardio and then 1 hour of lifting weights. My diet consists of volume eating but mostly vegetables. I eat around 1200-1300 calories daily, i’m 19 and 5’5. I should be able to loose at least 1 lbs every week and instead i’m gaining weight and centimeters. What am i doing wrong? i feel like giving up

    How much do you weigh now, or at least, how much weight do you need to lose? How much have you gained since you started? How often do you weigh yourself?

    How accurately and consistently do you log your food? How do you measure your portions?

    It's all right, no need to panic. Losing weight can be a bit hit and miss till you iron out any problems, and even after that can sometimes feel like a roller coaster.

    How do you calculate your calories? Do you log everything, weighing any solids and using measuring spoons and cups only for liquids? - Inaccurate measuring can make one think one is eating less calories than is actually the fact.

    Do you eat back your exercise calories? And how do you calculate them? While you should eat back at least a part if your exercise calories, sometimes the estimates you can get for exercise calories are out by quite a bit from the actual calorie burn.

    I would check on the time you end eating for each day. I stopped at 8:30 p.m. and saw a change.

    Listen to @callsitlikeiseeit. I had the exact same problem and her advice helped so much. I’m on my 3rd week and finally seeing results after gaining weight while only eating 1200-1500 calories daily. If you are in a calorie deficit it is impossible for you to gain real weight.

    Water retention and weight fluctuations make an enormous difference on the scale. Make a decision to stick with improving your health and ignore the scale.

    time of day has NOTHING to do with weight loss.
