Introducing Myself: Adlena

Hello, I'm Adlena! I live in South Georgia and I'm on a journey to a healthier happier life. I turn 40 this year and I've been over 200 pounds since I was in Middle School. I'm hoping to break this in the future. I've decided earlier this year to stop eating meat and animal products and I've decided this week to try intermitten fasting with a daily 8 hour eating window. I don't exercise much but I want to begin working out at least 3 days a week next week. I'll try to post updates so that I can stay encouraged. A few weeks ago I was 288.3 pounds. I've been vegetarian going vegan for over a month. I realized I wasn't losing weight because I was over-compensating for not eating meat at meal times and I was snacking all day. So I've stopped snacking and I'm sticking to 3 meals a day from 9 to 5 at no more than 1500 calories a day. The only restriction I really have is no animal products.

Welcome! Are you allowing yourself a cheat meal? Or are you staying consistent with 1500 a day 7 days a week?

My cheats will have to fit in the 1500 calories a day so that it will be 7 days a week. Like the other day I had a 200 calorie oatmeal raisin cookie from Subway (can't have this anymore since it's made with eggs) that made my total calorie intake for that day 1437. I try to accommodate for when I want something high calorie. I recently purchased cashewmilk ice cream bars. I can't eat them during the week because my eating window is from 9-5 but I'll be able to have them on the weekends when I'm off and I'll make them fit in the 1500 calorie restriction.
