Give yourself a week or so of just logging honestly, to get an idea of how you actually do eat, before you get bogged down thinking about how you *should* eat. It's good to have that baseline data about yourself, so you have a clearer idea of where you can make sustainable changes.6

Expect the first few weeks to be rocky.
Weight accurately and log honestly. Consider this period as a learning experience. We’re you able to ride a bike or drive a car without wobbling the first few times?
You’re going to learn about your eating habits, be shocked at the calories in some things you’ve never give a second thought to, and discover other foods that are tasty and lower cal substitutes. “Awareness” is a powerful thing.
You’ll get in the groove soon.
Just avoid the impulse to hurl yourself into it. I know you’re chomping at the bit, but chomp a little more gently to avoid early burnout. This has to be something you can do forever and ever amen without it feeling like self flagellation.

Dont worry, its always overwelming when you start but keep going and you'll get better at it! In a sense, it IS good you're stumbling a bit at first, it will show what you need to improve2
