actually started using MFP in Early January and its proving very helpful but suddently the calories burned shown on my fitbit are not showing on MFP - is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong, which is quite possible!

Welcome -Sorry , Can't help you with the Fitbit - don't know anything about it0

You may need to un-link and re-link Fitbit and MFP. It's been a while since I had a Fitbit but this kind of thing is still a known problem. Make sure both apps are up-to-date as well as the firmware on your Fitbit.0

Welcome!
And usually, patience wins the day rather than linking/resetting etc. There is a group on here for fitbit users which is worth a look, but generally I'd suggest waiting for at least a few hours before worrying.

Ditto's to MFP always recommending to NOT unlink and link again.
Means a bunch of child syncs are left in the ether without a place to go, and the delay is already the results of cached sync data waiting to go somewhere.
You may be good for 1 sync - then back to issue again.
In meantime - look at device total burned - subtract 500 - eat that much.0
