I don't think you're shallow. You just know what you like.

However, I am considered "voluptuous" and I am active. Even when I get to my goal weight, I'll still be curvy. It's just the way my body is. No reason a woman can't be both!

^^ exactly! Women are supposed to have curves. It's good to know they are appreciated too!

I'm glad that women are "supposed to" have curves. I don't have curves. Guess I'm not what I'm "supposed to" be?

Women are "supposed to" be built however they're built. Not all women have curves.

Oh wow.... why do people take everything so seriously. Just take the face value of the point I was trying to make.

P.s. All people have some curves... we are 3D.

    How YOU DOin'? LOL

Hell yeah, let me know if you find your way into Vegas someday. :D
  • You're not shallow. We like what we like. Attraction is very important in our mates. Just because I'm a little heavier, doesn't mean I'm ugly or that I dress like a slob. I'm beautiful, yet sometimes forget it when I get surprised that guys are into me. Don't think any less of yourself for feeling that way.

You're not shallow honey, you like what you like. We are all different in that respect, TG! How else would the saying come about 'there is someone for everyone' if it wasnt for individual preferences. I mean, there are skinny, slim, curvy, fat, obese and morbidly obese people in happy relationships!! As well as short, tall, brown, blonde..........etc etc Attraction is quite unique dont you think? I also agree that you dont have to be a 'athletic' to be physically fit!! I'm fitter than your average jo by a mile and I've always been on the cuddly side of average

I totally love the fact that you fancy chubbier women, cos I'm never going to bust my *kitten* to be skinny anyhow. I like fine food and wine too much

    Vive la difference! :drinker:

You are attracted to who you are attracted to. If you do the tick box thing it will take you a looong time to find someone who meets all your criteria. Aim for friendship first, that's the most important thing in a relationship.

    Not at all. ^^

Date who you are attracted to. Please don't settle, because it will waste your time and her time if you do so.

Don't settle, and if you like curvy women then that's who you should date :)

those are more of a body shape than an athletic thing. I mean unless when you say athletic you mean the kind of athletic that results in under 20% bodyfat. Otherwise a woman that looks SOMEWHAT like that could also be pretty fit and capable of most feats of athleticism.

Not gonna lie though - most of the women in those pictures don't really workout. I don't totally love that montage, I like the idea of it but I don't always agree with the comparisons they make. Like the difference between 8 and 11 or 12 is more about HOW they carry fat than what kind of lifestyle they lead. This is true for maybe half of those pics and then the other half ARE about the amount of muscle/fat/overall weight/etc.

Anyway in the end most people end up dating someone they are 1) reasonably attracted to physically 2) they like as a person - can hold multiple conversations without their brains melting out their ears and 3) likes them back <-- what YOU like is only 50% of the equation you know.
  • No way! We all have preferences. For example I think I look like 11, however I want to be either number 2 or 3. That's not to say the rest are not attractive, they are all beautiful. I happen to like tall dark and handsome men, but oddly enough most of my exes were fair haired!

    Ps: is that Crystal Renn?
  • Shallow people never ask themselves if they're shallow, soul-searching is definitely a deeper activity and shallow people don't do it! So no, you can't be. And having a 'look' that you're attracted to is just human. I used to like skinny, tangle-haired guys with wicked grins, up until I fell in love with a pudgy, bald guy 10 years older than myself and realised that attraction doesn't always take the form you expected.

Me too, I'm most like 11 but would prefer to be a 2!! Give us a few more weeks eh? haha

Shallow people never ask themselves if they're shallow,
Oh sure they do.. They feel guilty about being shallow and want people to assure them that that nagging voice in the backs of their heads telling them they've racked up several shallow behaviors and it's pushing them dangerously close to the edge of being a shallow person isn't actually right.
