I've been on MyfitnessPal for a while now but only used it as an app on my phone to help track my calories and weight. I have only recently started asking ppl to be my friend on here and really started "using" the site for all it can do for me.

I am a little confused about net calories tho.... my goal calories are at 1200 per day but just the calories that I burn from daily activity is calculated in and puts me under my calorie goal everyday. This doesn't seem right to me. I have a pretty physical job but I have always thought that my body was accustomed to my daily activities and I should go up and above that for exercise.... I realize I'm not making a whole lot of sense here but hopefully ya'll can get what I'm talking about. :O)

Anyway... I would love to have some "friends" with the same goals as me or close, or just some encouraging ones.

I'm 37, a mom of 2 darling daughters (one of which is a teenager), I am divorced, not looking, I'm happily dating. I started at 202, my CW is 171 and my goal is somewhere around 155 for now... that completly depends on how I feel when I get there. I am 5'7" btw... i have posted a cpl of before pics and soon I will post some "along the way" pics.

    Hi Becky!

    My name is Lisa and I am new to this site as well. I have the same calorie goal and I think if I understand it correctly it already takes into account your normal daily calories burned without any additional physical activity. I could be wrong though. Anyway, I would love to be friends and offer my support whenever you need it. I am actually very excited about MFP and cant wait for the next couple of days when I am able to get a feeling for the website.
