...say that you can't do it.

Those of you who know me, know that I have a history of strokes and have still managed to (after being wheelchair bound, etc.) participate in 5Ks.

Today, I cut almost five minutes off my time to 47:40, reaching my goal of under 50 before my 50th birthday.

To that, right now, as pleased as I am, I say big deal.

When you think you can't do it, I want you to think of Eric. I didn't meet him, but I was there, along with hundreds of others, cheering him on as he crossed the finish line, at about 1-hour and 10-minutes.

Why is that a big deal? Because Eric is an Iraqi war veteran. He is also a quadriplegic. While other people were running or walking or jogging the distance, Eric was blowing into a tube to make his wheelchair go the entire 3.1 miles.

What tenacity! What dedication!

WHAT A HERO!

Don't you dare say things are too hard.
