I am on a weight loss journey to lose 40 lb so that I do not get diabetes. It runs in my family. I don't have it and I hope I never get it. With the pandemic wreaking loss in my family...I pray for a brighter and healthier today and future.

Congratz! I’m excited and optimistic for you. What helped me was doing 10lb increment goals toward the 125 I lost. Step by step. Literally. It’s the little parts that count the most.1

My journey started for very similar reasons. I wish you good luck.

Focus on your habits. If you are eating mostly healthfully, in quantities appropriate for your body and moving plenty, you are addressing the diabetes potential, no matter what the scale says.0
