Hi everyone, this is my 5th time trying to reach my target weight. I just want to get in the healthy weight zone for my height and stay there. Each time I have made it to within 10 lbs and stopped. Looking to build some friends to help me stay on the right track.

I've been there too many times. It's awesome that you're still trying and that counts. I too am trying to be healthy for my height, which currently I am far from. Happy to support!

My healthy weight is 100 pounds away. Small goals help. Say you want to lose one pound a week. Only 4 pounds a month is a much easier goal than 100 pounds.

A lot of the time folk quit because their rate of loss is too aggressive/diet is too restrictive and it's not sustainable long term. Setting themselves to 2lb per week loss (only really suitable for those who are obese) and Sedentary activity level (a lot of people underestimate their non-exercise activity level) and feel like they have to drastically overhaul their diet overnight cutting out many of the foods they previously enjoyed.

    Any of that sound familiar?

Instead of being in a rush to lose it all now - which often ends up in the scenario you describe - losing the same 10lbs over and over, consider a slower rate of loss, making smaller changes over time. Even if you averaged a 250 cal deficit average per day, that'd be 26lbs over a year. That could possibly be achieved by trimming a few portion sizes down, the odd substitution and eating more satisfying foods so you're fuller for longer.
