Exercise calories

When I sync my fit bit, the exercise calories would change, whether it was actual exercise or just steps. Starting yesterday, it isn’t adjusting for my steps. Anyone know why? I’m assuming I shouldn’t have to change anything, because I hadn’t of changed anything to make it stop adjusting for my steps. I’m at a loss at how to fix it or if it even can be fixed. Only thing is, I got a new Fitbit, Versa 2, I notice it doesn’t always sync. I hope someone can help me.
