So I took the '23 & Me' DNA test.

I was hoping for something really, really cool to show up.

I'm thinking... maybe Viking ancestry, or maybe like a Spanish Conquistador... or yeah, a maybe my distant relatives were Roman gladiators. How awesome would that be ?

    Instead.

A mix of Southeast England (someplace that calls itself 'London') & somewhere called a 'West Midland'.

    Really?

    Really?

Evidently, instead of something awesome, like a warrior or a pillaging combatant, my ancestors made shoes or dug around in the dirt looking for coal. What a bunch of losers.

I'm thinking maybe I need to re-take that stupid DNA test. ( best two outta three ? )

I am a very proud American.

My mom was born in Sweden and my dad was born in Iran. They are both citizens now. Growing up I sometimes felt weird because we were so foreign and different compared to a lot of my classmates.

I appreciate these differences a lot more as I have gotten older.

I was born a country or two northeast of @chuckle_bunny (depending on which of the republics they're from) :p
