Please explain to me what is going on there? There's a shaded part, and a green part, and a dotted line...
Apparently it is a very complicated line...to me, anyway

calories remaining is just that ... how many calories you have left to eat. keep in mind, if some of them are from exercise calories, you probably dont want to eat all of them back. Start with half that, watch weight for several weeks, and adjust as necessary
the line that i think you are referring to is just a graph of sorts to visually show you where you are. Think of it like the gas gauge on your car.0 -
Don't overthink it, just look at the big number (and even then, don't worry too much).
You have daily net calories (say 1400 calories) but you might burn another 300 in exercise, so for that day you can actually consume 1700 calories (as your calorie deficit is already built in before exercise). Some people "eat" their exercise calories, some don't.
