Rotation & T-Factor diets by Dr Katahn. That was so 30 years ago!

(a #1 Ney York Times bestseller)

I am convinced that the guy was sincere and it worked for him but in retrospect, his generalization of 1 pound per day as on book cover was absurd.

RAW FOODS (vegan). ... which a raw foodist (at least back in the day) would say "its not a diet, it' s a lifestyle." I got really thin, had lots of energy... and eventually went completely nuts and had to eat something cooked and substantial to ground myself. I'd say i did raw foods for maybe a year? The energy part was great.

also tried Keto- as a vegetarian. nope to nope. It's way too difficult to eat those micro requirements as a vegetarian. I did lose weight, it all came right back as soon as i ate carbs again. I know other people who have had success with Keto, but to me it seems like a gimmick.

(Candida diet- this i had to do for candida and it works on candida. I also got ridiculously tiny on it and it wasn't sustainable. That was never the point of the diet tho.)

CICO got me to a healthy weight and i maintained it for 7 years. I do CICO with some focus on protein intake and healthy overall diet, but of course allow myself to also enjoy treats in small amounts. for me, exercise is really important in CICO because i like to eat a lot of food, so i have to run/lift to burn some of those calories i love to eat!

(Also, I have been a vegan and am still vegetarian but those are not diets in my mind. They are ethical choices.)
