How'd ya meet your S/O???

So I know there's a few of us on here that have S/O's. I was just wonderin how you met.

My hubby is in the Coast Guard and his ship was drydocked in my city. I met him at my favorite club through another coastie me and my girl had met the night before. He wasn't the hottest of the group, but there was just something about him..... I'm not gonna lie, I took him home that night, lmao. HOWEVER, I told him not to expect to get any as we were walkin to my car. And he respected my wishes and we just talked all night long, no lie there either, lol. Come to find out, he's a true Southern Gentleman, born in Charleston. We were inseperable after that and were married in a little over a year.

    We met online - on a social networking site (myyearbook.com). They had this area where you could "buy" other people's pictures. He had one picture that certainly caught my attention - I "bought" it and sent him a message informing him that the picture was extremely distracting to me. He wrote back the next day and we started talking on that website, then moved to texting, then to phone calls, met in person a few weeks later. We were long distance for the first year (but saw each other regularly) and last Sept he moved in with me.

    It was 2 years ago today that we started talking. :)

    We actually met online through a mutual friend of ours about 10 years ago, when we were 14. We dated for a while, but being so young and the 2 hour distance between us was hard so we didn't stay together long. He was my first "love". Last year, in December, I decided randomly to look him up on Facebook and sent him a request. The next day, he came to visit and now we've been together for 9 months. We no longer have to worry about the distance, as I moved down to his hometown in April and I couldn't be happier. He complements me, he motivates me, and we are the best of friends. :)

    We were introduced by a girl that I went to cosmetology school with. He wouldnt look at me, just stared straight ahead (he was sitting in his car) I thought he was extremely attractive but I was seeing someone so I held off. Then soon after I became single again he sent me a message on MySpace and asked if I wanted to go out sometime. I asked what he was doing that night Lol!! He came and saw me at work and we spent that night together....and he never left, nor did I want him to. We were married 11 months later. Been together over 5 years now :heart:

    In my early 20's I was bit of a pot head, I got high one night and went to subway to curb that munchies craving. Thats where I met her. I joked with her and she joked with me. As she was putting meat on my sandwich I asked her if she liked playing with meat and she was like uhh yeah. then later on my friend asked if we were staying or going and I said we were going so thats when she said, so you like to eat out? I laughed, and as I left I told my friend that that person is probably going to be my best friend. I wasn't wrong. I kept coming back to find out her name to find out what she was all about and found out she had a boyfriend this guy was like 6'2" body builder blah blah blah. we started hanging out, I met her boyfriend he was an idiot so I solved that problem. We started dating valentines day and were married 4 months later. We lasted about 5 years of marriage with 2 kids. She's an amazing woman and I'll always love her.

    Well, I was widowed 3 years ago, and summer of 2010 decided to check out some on line dating sites....and after sifting through some serious chaff.....there he was. It was bigbeautifulpeoplemeet.com. We would talk for hour...both on line and on the phone and he flew to meet me a month later. After that, it was on. We flew back and forth for almost a year and burned up the telephone lines and then a job came open in my field in his city! God provides always. We are now living together, planning a wedding and we just bought a house!

    One of my mate's married someone she met on warcraft early this year, and they just spawned a real life baby girl yesterday :) (I mean she was born yesterday not that they did it, tmi!)
