question on logging weekly weight

where/do I log in my weekly weight and how can I do so without effecting my calorie count goals? For instance. my calorie totals daily is 1450. But when I logged in my first week of my new weight ( lost 1.4 lbs), it changed my caloric allowance per day to 1200, I have tried several ways do render this correct, but nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions?

    MFP adjusts your calorie intake automatically so you can maintain the same rate of weight loss (however you have that set). I weighed myself today and the same thing happened - my recommended intake went down, because I weigh less and need less to move myself around. As you get closer to goal, it's harder to maintain the same deficit so it might be better to choose a slower rate of weight loss (say, 0.5 lb/week or 1 lb/week instead of 1.5 or 2).

    How you're logging your activity can help a lot too with giving you extra calories.

    ETA: Logging your weight on a web browser: go to "My Home" and then "Check In," and there's an option to enter your current weight. On the mobile app, go to "Goals" and then "Current Weight." If yours jumped so much, you might be re-entering a starting weight instead, which would account for the drastic drop. My recommended intake dropped only a few calories, not 250.

    It sounds like you're updating your Goals instead of your progress.

    On the desktop site, you can update your progress by going to Check-In in the darker blue banner at the top of the screen. Enter today's weight in the box at the top of the screen to update that information.

    On the Android app (I assume iOS is similar but I don't have an iPhone), you can tap the plus-sign button in the lower-right and then select Weight, or go to the hamburger menu in the upper-left and tap Progress, then the plus sign in the upper-right of that screen to add today's weight.

    Do keep in mind that as you shrink, your caloric needs will change. It's not as dramatic as -250 calories for a pound and a half lost (which is excellent progress btw, keep it up!), but for every pound you lose your daily calorie needs go down by about 5 calories. So a 10lb loss lowers your total daily energy expenditure by about 50 cal. If you keep eating at the same level, your deficit will eventually get smaller and your loss will slow down some. You don't need to redo the guided setup after every pound lost, but maybe every 10-20 lbs or so, which would be adjusting your budget down 50-100 cal to maintain the deficit you selected.
