I sweat and my heartrate gets up....
W/out a HRM, is it possible to log them and make sure I'm eating enough extra calories?

under the cardio tab, there is a strength training with weights option. You could use that.0

Log "Strength Training" under cardio and MFP will estimate how much you burned0

There are some calculators to determine the calories burned you can find by googling, however the results probably won't be accurate. You should invest in a HRM!. You can find some pretty inexpensive if you look around for a good deal. I've seen Polar on Amazon for $40.0

I purchased a heart rate monitor and LOVE IT!!! Its a watch and band that gets placed just under my bra. As my heart rates goes up during the strength training it tells me how many calories my body is actually burning based on my weight. It is exact and also works great for cardio. The specific brand I have is Suunto M5 which cost about $130, but its worth the money if you are serious. You can also purchase wrist based versions in Walgreens, but I do not know how accurate they are.
Good Luck!0 -
Oh - I didn't even try strenth training under cardio!! Thank you!!!0

HRM's for weight lifting aren't going to be that accurate since it's not a steady state cardio activity.
With that being said, I still wear mine for weight lifting but don't eat all of the calories back that it shows I burned.
Strength training under cardio would be the best bet.0
