    Welcome -- this is a good site to get many perspectives. The first week or so I ate normally and added everything to my food diary. That way I could see where my problems were; calories, sodium, fats and carbs. Everyone is looking for what works for them. Exercise is important; and be sure to drink water. We all want to look good but good health is very important. Good luck.
