I read it and enjoyed it a lot. It's a great story, very inspiring!0

Got it, LOVE it!!! I'm reading it kind of slow. It's my before bedtime treat. If I get my stuff done, then I have enough time to read. I have a friend who's son just run the Leadville in Co, just a few weeks ago (It could have been last week, I don't remember)0

I am in the middle of this book and I LOVE it! It has inspired me to try barefoot running (albeit slowly, as I do not want to injure myself).
Main reason for the inspiration is because I really messed up my feet running in my running shoes (shoes that correct over-pronation).
I hobbled around for a while until I realized that my foot did not hurt when barefoot. Then I went on vacation to hike a mountain and the only way I could do it was barefoot! (I probably got weird looks) and after that, I bought the book and have been enjoying it.
Doesn't hurt my foot to run barefoot at all.
*When I say barefoot I mean Vibrams...except in the case of hiking the mountain, that was completely barefoot.0 -
Just finished it, and really enjoyed it. yes, it is about running... but it's about so much more than that too.0

Since I run indoors, I run both in shoes and barefoot. I love the strange looks I get when people realize that I'm running barefoot, but I no longer have plantar fasciitis problems (except when my feet are still for too long!)0 -

I was also having some issues with the beginnings of plantar fasciitis but that seems to have gone away, now.
I just finished the book and it was just so awesome.
Of course, now I want to become an Ultra Runner...but not sure if that's feasible! Haha0 -
Great book, very inspiring. It made me rethink ever spending $135 on running shoes. I just buy what's on sale at Kohl's with a 30% off coupon, and I'm doing just fine. I'd like to try some minimalist shoes one day, but I'm too cheap!
I can't even imagine what they go through in Leadville. I have climbed a few14'er mountains in Colorado, and that's hard enough for 10 miles while NOT running/racing. Amazing athletes.0
