I am so frustrated today. I am sick of being round (shape). I don't feel well. My anxiety is high this morning, because I have so many things in life to juggle right now. I just wish one thing was in control.

Any advice for keeping perspective?

Check my latest blog post on anxiety. It's more of a long-term thing, but I hope it helps offer perspective.

Pray, train, study, play. Just as our body needs a healthy diet, our minds do to. Maybe taking 15 minutes to chill with relaxing music and a cup of tea? Make everything else stop for a moment and wait for you, perhaps that will give you an edge on control. Just some thoughts. Your Fitness Pal meter says you've got some success so far and are on the right track there, it just may take a little time.

:( i'm sorry. I feel for you. I had some anxiety issues a couple of years ago when I was under a lot of stress and it was so hard. I ended up getting therapy for it, which i HIGHLY recommend. Changed my life. I didn't think it would work for me, but I kept going back and while it took months, I am so much better now than I used to. My anxiety is not gone, but it is manageable now.

But for now, just take it a step at a time. Try to realize that your anxiety is just thoughts in your head that probably have no real relation to what is going on around you. It's all mental - and you can change it by changing the way you think. It just takes a lot of practice. In my therapy I learned about "automatic thoughts" - things that bring on my anxiety when I am in certain situations. For example, if I was meeting someone new, I would automatically think that they didn't like me or thought I was stupid or whatever. I had to change that by realizing I have NO idea what that person is thinking, and that it probably wasn't as bad as what I was imagining.

Everyone has bad days - they will pass, and if you can maybe just do one thing at a time you can move past it. Can you take a walk or do a quick workout? Or just clean the bathroom or something, simple things like that make me feel like I accomplished SOMETHING. Try to figure out what you can control, and if you can't control it, then it doesn't help to worry about it.

Good luck and hope your day turns around. :flowerforyou:
