My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion

*Sorry about the goof up of my earlier song post. Was that song "Rolling on the River" by Tina Turner?

No. It's the same song. It's a Creedence Clearwater Revival original written by John Fogerty of CCR and was covered with great success by Ike & Tina Turner. It's a common mistake to attribute it to Tina Turner, and call it 'Rolling On A River'. In fact, John Fogerty had soured on the music industry (he was ripped off badly like many other acts in the 60's, look up the song Vanz Kant Danz) to the point that he refused to perform CCR songs live. I can't recall which artist intervened, but whoever it was said to Fogerty, "If you don't start playing your music, people will think Proud Mary is a Tina Turner song." The conversation inspired Fogerty to not only play music he wrote, but work to buy back the publishing and performing rights to his own songs.

We Will Rock You - Queen (personally, I'm not that big a fan of the song or the group, but it seemed a natural successor) :D

@billyc55 Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. I really do like "Classic Rock" and I hate when I forget song titles or artists that I remember singing along with on the radio of my younger days. That was really interesting about John Fogerty, thank you for letting me know. :)
