MFP meal plans

I don't get. Anyone trying it? What does it do?? I assumed it was supposed to gather your food journal data and give you feedback on what to eat. I opted for the reaching my calorie goal plan which maybe wasn't right, but I'm trying to lose fat an not happening so that seemed like the most appropriate one.

It just gives me daily tips or suggestions that I check mark. That's it???? Not at all how the promotional crap made it sound.

While I've yet to use any of the meal plans (I never understood how online meal plans could effectively work since what's available in my grocery store may very well be different than the suggested recipes...also, I don't generally like following recipes lol)

Yet, I've followed many of the exercise plans and they are as effective as your ability to follow it, I suppose.

If you'd like a meal planning option, you may want to check in with a local nutritionist. If you live in a large city, your grocery store may even have a nutritionist on staff (in Canada, the Provigo chain does this).

I'd also be curious to know how effective a meal plan could be- depending on how personalized it is. Obviously the more generic, the less effective. Tons of variables at play for every single person that effects digestion, nutritional need, etc.

I can't see how this can possibly streamlined without something very personalized.
