Hello,
I have never joined a weightloss group. I think I felt it was a weakness to ask for help. I have always been thin up until about a year and a half ago. I am 5'9 and was always an 11/12 size. I am now in a size 18 women's plus. I will turn 49 years old this year and want to get back to my old self. I feel like some of the problem was with the aging process in general (hormone changes etc.), but I know I have not been diligent in my workouts like I used to. It seems I got into a downward spiral. I put on weight, then stopped going out with friends because I was embarrassed by the weight gain. I then would just stay around the house and watch tv and eat. I think I was going into depression.
Wow, I didn't mean to sound like a basket case. I really am a fun person. I just want to be the fun "thin" person I used to be. I used a recent picture of me with my weight gain for my profile and used a picture from approximately 2 years ago for my weight loss ticker. I hope this will help inspire me. I can't wait to be able to post a healthier picture of me on my profile. There are an awful lot of pics of attractive "what I would not call overweight" women on this site and I hope this is because they lost down to those sizes ;0) Well that's my story and I am excited to read other members stories.
Good luck to me and all of you,

Welcome to a fun journey. This site is cool because it has all types of people having very many weight loss goals, but with the main concern being having a healthy lifestyle and being encouraging to each other. You'll fit into our little family nicely.0
