Ingredients
4 slices white bread (or pick whatever you want)
2 medium bananas
2 tsbpns natural peanut butter
1 tbspn cinnamon
1 tspn unsweetened cocoa
1 egg
2 egg whites
2 cups skim milk
1 scoop protein powder (flavour is optional but I used chocolate)
Directions:
1. Spread PB on bread & chop bananas
2. lightly spray baking tray (mine was about 8"x8")
3. Tear bread up into small pieces and put into tray. I layered it bread - banana - bread - banana.
4. Mix up egg & whites with cinnamon, cocoa, protein and milk.
5. Pour liquid into baking tray and squish bread down with a fork so that it soaks up the liquid.
6. Place into preheated oven 180c (350f) for approx 40-45mins or until top is browned.
Total cals 1301 161/35/85 C/F/P
For 4 LARGE servings
325 cals 40/9/21 C/F/P
Perfect for a post workout feed

Chris do you just look at your pantry and come up with these master pieces or what? And if so are there ever any real disasters? I am going to start a "Stuff I mixed together that failed thread" one day to catalogue my attempts at this0
-
Dizzieferg: will be fine without bananas. Less 210cals and 54g carbs. I haven't had bananas in a year because of ridiculous prices here so I couldn't wait to chuck them in something to bake up haha
Fromaquizer: haha, I wish. I get lots of ideas from around the net and love to try and "healthify" recipes and see how they come out. And I'm keen to see this thread My first attempt at waffles failed last night. Was scraping half the batter off the waffle maker for a while haha.0 -
Bump it!!! I think I will sub bananas for raisins!!!0

Got no raisins at the moment but yes I was thinking FFGY topping0 -
Devouring half of it :P
Was topped with FF greek yoghurt mixed with banana cream SF jello.
Next time I think I'll ditch the PB and add raisins to get the carbs up a bit more for post workout. But it's pretty damn good as is anyway0 -
bump I want to try this... I love bananas0
