    Not sure yet if I am going to post my weight this week as I am not sure I can mentally handle the scale. Stepped on it over the weekend and almost threw it through the window. It's not that the number itself is horrible. It's my "lack of control" to stop the number from continuously moving up. So this is my two week challenge starting yesterday of logging EVERYTHING. I could not mentally get my butt to the gym yesterday as the two hours that I had to spend in public was exhausting and I just did not want to be around people. Guess I could have walked, but didn't think about it. Going to get to gym today, so hoping mentally that will help me with the scale and making good food choices. Hopefully.

    Tif - I'm sorry to hear about someone who couldn't possibly appreciate all that you have to offer. You are an extremely strong and successful woman who has so much to offer to someone who is worthy of you. Your patience will give you rich rewards, I'm sure.

    tough love morning here today....

    where is everyone/ you joined this site to help you lose weight or maintain or gain. you have to be here at least once a day. for it to work you need to log your food daily. if not here than somewhere even on paper. if you have to write it you will be less likely to eat it. if it passes your lips write it down somewhere. the scale is not a close friend. it does let you know what your body is up to. don't be afraid of it. it's just a tool. life happens every day. not just the week before a weigh in. we are always going to have mounds, hills, and very high mountains to climb over. it's what makes us stronger. our health is an every day thing. it takes effort just like breathing. have you noticed that when life gets tough the first to go is you health. if your health is in tip top shape you handle life better and in control. your mind can think and sort through the struggles. eating that food doesn't help you in any way. the pros and cons of eating it are pro: nothing, cons: makes you angry at yourself, anger makes you eat more, the more makes you dout yourself, yourself beats yourself up. you end up on the ground in a heap. now did that solve the problem you just ate for? nope i can bet it didn't.
    i am going to try not to enable anyone any more about the "i ate bad now look at the scale". you did it. thinking about putting it in your mouth and making the chose is you not me. and i need the swift kicks in the behind. don't know about you.
    i am going to tell you a story. DH and i are struggling right now. we have been paycheck to paycheck for awhile now. when i mean we are broke we are broke. we have no savings, no credit cards, nothing like that. we have $5 until payday (on thursday). we have very little meat in the freezer, we have nothing but can goods in the pantry. we are getting cheap brand of ground turkey. it's all we could afford. but, i have to make the choice of the sides. they aren't the best, but when it's all you have. so i don't go over board. you would be suprised at the amount of 1/2 cup of beans, 1/2 cups of rice, and a little meat. but, you make due and do the best you can. doesn't give you free will over eat it all. eating it all only makes things worst, cause than you don't have it at all for the next day. can't go buy it again, cause theres no money. i hope you get the point. now to figure out what to make with a pound of ground turkey again tonight. LOL...
    sooo, sorry it's so long post. get up off your behind and get your day going and just remeber to eat the best you can, and try to get some excersie done. i always hear "i don't have time to log". if you are here reading you have time to log. your foods are right there. it takes less than 10 mins. if not here some where in some fashion.

    Chipper, sorry it is so rough for you guys right now. That being said, you are pretty right on with your "tough love". It is definitely all a choice and though it may, often times, feel like we have no control, ultimately, WE DO!! Now if I can just remember that for the rest of my life, I am golden :bigsmile:

    Kristin-Seriously, I cannot believe that your little one is 2 years old now. It just reminds me of how long I have been away. CRAZY!

    I forgot to copy and paste the weight/measurements. Will do that later. Gotta hit the shower now. Did 30 Day Shred this AM, Level 1. Day one of my 30-day challenge. though I have decided if it takes me 40 days, there is no harm in that b/c I probably should have a day off of exercise every now and then :) Have a great day guys!

    Who of you guys are on a 1200 calorie a day goal? What do you do with your exercise calories? I'm just curious.

    lula...if i follow calories i aim to eat back just 1/2. some days i just know they are there so if i go over calories, it's my savings. some days i eat them all. depends on the day. if i exercise allot that day than i am hungrier.

    Who of you guys are on a 1200 calorie a day goal? What do you do with your exercise calories? I'm just curious.

    I usually eat them all. I know I might see faster results if I didn't, but I am not sure that not eating them is healthy. When I exercise harder and longer, I am hungrier.

    ETA: I just found this link that is helpful in explaining why we eat our exercise calories. I haven't been able to read the whole thing, just skim, but hopefully it will help you as well.

    Hey Ladies... I tried all weekend etc to log back into my account. I can't - weird... plus the email account I havd used (google) I had closed (WAYYY too much spam)... I figured out why I keep getting locked out... it has something to do with my new phone, and when I sigh in / out on it... it trys to sync things up... and does weird things... anyways I am here.

    Chipper - I needed a swift kick in the a** - thank you! This is why I need you guys!

    I am going to measure at the ed of the challenge... I don't see much change week to week. I think every six weeks will be a good indicator of how I am doing.

    I am leaving for Poland on Friday.... for a week. So I probably will not be able to check-in much... or weigh-in. I just hope to come home to a loss on the scale... it is tough when you are traveling though...

    More later. Lots to do now.

    Hi ladies, just a quick post right now. Work is crazy. Sorry to those of you who read my rant yesterday. I was just in a very blah mood I guess. The scale was nice to me today, so I guess that has made me happier. Not sure if my measurements are correct. It seems like a lot to lose inch wise in a short period of time. Maybe it is right though. Will post more later on hopefully!

    Good morning! I forgot to weigh in this morning. I'll do it tomorrow morning.

    I finally got back into running! I ran on Saturday, yesterday, and this morning! Only 2 tenths of a mile, but since I haven't run in 6 months, I'm happy!

    Cathy - I'm so sorry to hear how hard things are for you financially right now. I know how stressful that can be.

    Amy. GREAT job with the running! Have you tried the couch to 5K program? It seems to work for a lot of people...!

    Kim. Nice loss! Keep up the exercise!!! Cheer up - things are moving in the right direction!!!!!

    So everyone... sounds like we all need a little extra push... I just did the math and in total our group is trying to lose 42.5 pounds this challenge... so lets work together to achieve or exceed this goal... we can do this as a group!!!!! (I certainly can't lose 42.5 lbs on my own... in six weeks.... :laugh: I WISH!) LETS do this ladies!!!!! I want to see everyone on this board and logging!!!!! GOOOOO SIXERSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

    afternoon....

    i didn't mean for my story to bring sadness on condolences. it was meant to point out how no matter the stress or circumstances you can eat well. we are fine and will be fine.
    i am taking my own words to heart right now. i really want to eat. a few things have to my attention this afternoon, and there is nothing i can do about it. i do want to eat about it. is it going to solve anything, nope not in the least. the problem will be solved in a few days. until then i can't do anything. food isn't going to help at all. so why eat over it. i am putting the stress of it to sleep also.

    kim...vent away, it keeps the hands busy.
    amy..great on the running. i have been doing that too.

    Hey gals!!

    Cathy...your post is inspiring me to check in here. I think I am ready to share what's been going on with me. It's still a little earlier then I planned on telling you wonderful ladies, but baby #2 is due this April!!! I'm 10 weeks along and had a great check up over lunch today! Everything is great and I heard my munchkin's heart beating!! I was really going to wait until the first trimester was finished, but after Cathy's post I so badly wanted to share with you why I have been absent.

    So, I'm been trying to continue exercising. I feel good all day long and then starting around 6pm I am nauseous the rest of the night. So, it's been hard for me to get in my evening exercise. But I have some prenatal workout dvds (strength, cardio, and yoga) that I try to get in when I can and I still try to jog/walk when the weather is cool enough. So far I've gained 3.5 pounds (according to my scale, 2 pounds according to the doctors). But I've been fluctuating a lot, which is probably due to the bloating/gassiness/constipation/etc (tmi?). I did find out today that we will most likely be having another c-section. Although the option is still there for me to try for a vbac if I decide.

    ANYways...that is my exciting news!! I'm thrilled to join our little pregnancy group in the sixers!! And it's also nice to tell you guys...we aren't really telling out friends yet, only our parents and siblings know. Have a great afternoon and I'll check back later!!
