intermittent fasting

Hi, I've gained alot of weight and started today doing 16/8 intermittent fasting, I calorie counted and stayed below my intake, its hard for me to avoid diet soda but I drank water, black tea and 1 Gatorade zero, I know the Gatorade has sucaralose but I was so thirsty and craving the sugar, im proud of myself for not having soda! Looking for friends if anyone wants to add me 🙂

    Hi, and welcome!

    Diet soda should be fine (zero calories) as long as it doesn't somehow tempt you to eat more calories in other ways. Quite a few people here drink diet soda during weight loss. (I didn't, but I don't much like soda whether sugared or diet, so that wasn't my challenge when losing weight - more just portion and calorie control, in my case.)
