Finished a 21 mile walk!

I have never done anything like this before, but I joined and actually completed the 9-11 St Louis March to the Arch! I have a T-shirt and a blister under my toenail to prove it! I'm sore but still walking! I couldn't get any of my friends to go with me so I went by myself and met some wonderful and encouraging people! I'm still excited and so proud of myself!

    It's a weird high you never want to lose! Wish I could bottle it up so drink on days I'm in the dumps! Congrats on the walk I bet your friends are wishing they would have now that you've done it! (Or at least secretly to themselves think that) For sure something to be proud of and enjoy!!

    Wow! Thanks guys! The walk started around 9:11am and there were about 250-300 people to start. We finished around 6 pm. There were several planned short water breaks about every 5 miles or so. This was something I definitely will try again--only with better fitting shoes!!! I don't think any of my friends really thought I'd do it or complete it.

    I' m so proud of you and i don't even know you! Bet your friends are kicking themselves that they didn't join you. I think so many of us put off doing things because we are afraid of doing it alone, but you are fearless and have reaped the reward! Good for you ;)

    That's great on so many levels! You got in terrific exercise, did something you never thought you'd do, proved your friend's wrong and met new people. Sounds like a real accomplishment all around!
