Hi, I'm a 46 year old wife and mother of 4. I was going to check out W>W> and join them online. But I thought of the money that I didn't have to join, then I found this site-I LOVE IT! My goal 6 years ago was to be in the best shape of my life by the time I was 40, well that didn't happen. My new goal is to add 10 years and readjust my long term goal: By the time I'm 50, I will be in the best shape of my life, and be the healthiest I have ever been. I heve 4 years to make it happen. This will be a lifestyle change for the entire family. I think the way to go is by setting smaller, achievable goals that will lead up to the ultimate goal. My first step is to be accountable for what I eat by putting it in the diary as soon as I eat it and seeing the calories accumulate-what an eye opener. Anyway, good health to all.

Hi my name is Victor I'm 68 y/o I had always been in great shape however in 2006 I was diagnose with Hairy Cell leukemia and my life changed completely, the first thing doctors did was curtail my running to walking and change all of my other exercises and nutrition plans i had, come 2011 I was weighting 219 pounds from 185, high blood pressure, high blood glucose a total mess, I went for my annual check up on June 16th and the doctor said I was in remission, my answer was I will start training tomorrow and he said it was ok I really did not started until 3 weeks ago, I have gone from pants size 42 to 38 and i have lost 9.5 pounds this is a lot better than any diet or physical work program I have ever been other than the US Army, but we all must remember that this is a commitment we do to ourselves and we are solely responsible for its results, I do recommend that if you start do stick with it till your reach your goal and then keep the weight off by having a healthy life habits.0

Welcome. This site is wonderful. I find that logging my food and exercise helps a lot. It made me more aware what I am putting in to my body. Making better choices with snacks...etc.. Good luck...whatever you do, it is a commitment to yourself...your health.0
