What healthy options can you find in fast food?

Can you define "healthy" for your purposes? It does no good for me to suggest a grilled chicken sandwich if you're a keto adherent or a vegetarian.

It depends on your definition of healthy, and how many calories you have to spend.

One of my favorite fast food meals is a Cookout tray. A burger, double side of onion rings and a Diet Coke come to about 650, if memory serves.

I’ll bring it home and put my own condiments on it so I can control the ketchup and mayo.

A lot of people don’t realize that onion rings have a fraction of the calories of fries.

I don’t know if you would consider a gyro fast food, but they are about the same. My local gyro place offers grilled vegetables as a side in lieu of fries. Tsatziki sauce looks and tastes rich, but it’s made from yogurt. Gyros are big and filling and probably found in God’s own kitchen.

Even if I go all extravagant and get a side of baba ganoush and an extra pita, it’s still well under 1,000.

My local Mexican restaurant does a huge mango grilled chicken salad that’s under 400, and a spicy and delicious mango habanero grilled chicken plate with rice and generous side salad that’s about 650 (maybe less). But you’ve got to be strong and resist those chips. Usually I can but it becomes a cluster when hubs orders cheese dip. I usually ask for a bowl of bell pepper strips to dip in the salsa. Depends on how fast the server gets them to me, because…..chips, staring at me…husband merrily crunching them…..

    Grilled chicken sandwiches.

Even a Chick-fil-A sandwich is tolerable with a kale salad on the side. And their kale salads are delicious.

There’s always something, if you can get out of the Value Meal mindset.

    THIS.

If you actually eat what was once the normal size of items, it can work within most CICO plans.
No more super, whopper, BIG/Biggie, etc.
    From McDonalds website:
Hamburger. Cheeseburger. McDouble. (250/300/400 calories) You can ditch 1/2 the bun for 75 cal savings.
    Small Fries. (220 calories)
UNsweetened iced tea or diet coke (0 calories)
