Hi everyone
I started logging as of 16th June 2021, this is not my first go at myfitness pal, or any other type of record keeping for accountability or tracking my progress (or lack of LOL)
I am hoping that i will make some positive progress this time around as i have taken on (or trying to at least) a different way of thinking about this.......looking at it like "a life style accountability tool" 80/20% goals all the time, as long as my weekly calorie intake is under or lower that the overall goal then ive done well that week, if you get what i mean???
Wishing everyone well and hope you are all going well on your individual journeys

Welcome to MFP @jillbill1 !
Actually, the way MFP is set up, if you are at or under your overall goal fir the week, you’re right on track.
Many users here (me included) will eat a little less on some days to free up calories for another. There’s nothing wrong with that.
You can easily see if you’re on track for any seven day period by going to your food diary, selecting the last day of the seven day period you wish to average,, select “nutrition” at the bottom of the page, and change the daily to weekly view. That will show you your seven day averages for calories, macros, etc.
There’s lots of helpful little tweaks inside MFP that you’ll learn here on the community boards.
