So, I tried this Ice Cream-Like treat last night...

http://www.myarcticzero.com/

I had the Cookie Mint flavor and it really wasn't that bad! No fat, no dairy, and no artificial sweeteners.
AND only 150 calories for the full pint!

Has anyone else tried this stuff? How are the other flavors?

Honestly, when I'm sitting down to enjoy a tastey ice cream I'm not running toward something that's rated as "not that bad."
  • Wow, sounds good! Might try that. Cheers for posting

not sold in my state. I'm guessing they pump it with a lot of air. I'd try it if I could.

It's "fake" food, but knock yourself out if you must. Personally I'd rather savor and enjoy the real thing once in a while.

I tried some sort of chocolate-ish flavor at a friend's house. It wasn't even worth the minimal calories, IMO, though I am sure it highly depends on what flavor you try. It tasted like frozen low budget protein shake. I'd rather have a smaller portion of stuff that actually tastes good.

i'm gonna have to go to my local whole foods to see what that's all about. but i couldn't actually eat a whole pint of anything--it's too much! even if it's only 150 calories....i'd feel icky!

I LOVE Skinny Cow ice cream! It's amazing. I'm not a big fan of ice cream so the size for me is perfect!

I ate an entire pint of no-sugar-added coconut ice "cream" a few nights ago and was ecstatic to learn that it's only 400 calories for the entire pint, so... 150 sounds even better! And it's dairy-free???

Where can I get this stuff?

<---not afraid on frankenfoods at all, even though I try to not eat them too often...

There's a Fit and Active brand of ice cream sandwich like the Skinny Cow's ones, but it's loaded with fiber, if any of y'all fiber deprived peeps wanted to know.

There is dairy in it. Whey is a dairy protein.
As a person with a dairy allergy, I got a little excited there. Too bad - back to my sorbet, I suppose!

I've tried 3 of the flavors... I thought I'd love the Chocolate Peanut Butter but I don't... not worth even the miniscule calories. The Coffee on the other hand is pretty darn good.

It's too expensive though and I have to go out of my way to go get it because the stores near my house don't carry it.... So I will stick with skinny cow for now.

I do like being able to eat a full cup of the coffee for only 74 calories though! It is best eaten after it has started to melt... then it doesn't have that icemilk flavor.

I tried the chocolate peanut butter and thought it was OK. I think I'd rather have a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich, though. Plus they're freaking expensive!!! I did get it at Whole Foods (aka "Whole Paycheck" cuz that's what you spend when you go there), so I should have known better. Lol

Sorry, the label said "Dairy Free" I take that part back from my post*

** Ok, so I looked again and the Label actaully said "Lactose Intolerant Friendly" not Dairy Free - "Gluten Free" was right next to it and I was all excited so I got mixed up. Sorry for the confusion!

Although whey proteins are responsible for some milk allergies, the major allergens in milk are the caseins :drinker:
