you know this is an adult site! As adults we have the right to freedom of speech and our own opinions! This is suppose to be a place to be excepted fir our common goals, lose weight gain weight, maintain weight, build muscle, and get and stay healthy!!! So why, I'm asking can't we all be adults and remember we all are entitled to believe or not believe in whatever we want!! This country is going down hill in a handbasket when we can't voice our opinions without getting criticized!!!
I lost some good friends all because some so called adults can't handle someone else's opinions!! So my question is... Will I get a warning for flying an American flag as my avatar and speaking my mind???

Well having a flag as an avatar in my opinion isn't in breach of the forum rules. It is not discussing politics, it only identifies what country you are from.
As for speaking your mind, sadly the "report post" button makes it all too easy for anyone that disagrees with your opinion to go "running to tell teacher". So don't be surprised if somebody does take offence at your post.

Although I emphatically believe we should be free to speak our minds and offer our opinions on a public forum .. There still remains a need for some control. .. Because, as we all know .. There's nobody stupider than people.
Some like to take their opinions or their mindset to the limits .. When conversations become demographically, religiously, ethnically, culturally (etc etc) abusive, you will have a big problem. I'm sure you can see why.
Rules are necessarily put in place to keep the peace (so to speak) so we can all play nice nice in this sand box. Mind you some rule enforcement can also become over the top. I still have no idea what all the hubblub is about on this forum today. I totally missed it! Who crapped in who's cornflakes?0 -

I believe in everyones right to free speech. I dont have to agree with it nor do you have to agree with me. But I will fight tooth and nail for someone to have their right just as I would for my own.

what are we teaching our children when we stifle others and shove our own ideas down there throats? to be a bunch of followers and robots instead of individuals?? great way to turn this country into something its not, or wasnt suppose to be! makes me ashamed of people...........i hope my choldren dont have those rights takin away when we have so many soldiers who have lost their lives for our freedom........jus sayin, did we all forget what happened 10 years ago on 9/11 /2001?????????????0

OUr kids are being taught to be over sensitive whiners in the world..............
A lot of schools have implemented no touch recess and such and kids get suspended if they touch - which means they can't even play games like tag at recess..............
The United States sucks and is way off track. We are all becoming a bunch of wimps.0 -

Sure that might apply is "some" aspect of free speech .. NOT all. Don't confuse 'rights' with privilledges. You have the right to free speech but you do not have the 'right' to be abusive or slanderous.0 -
