Back on track

This is just a general post on how I am finally back on track to losing some weight!
I have always been the type of person who has a hard time keeping promises to myself. I have found over the years that it is generally when I am held accountable to other people that I am able to stick to my word. I have this great fear of disappointing people, and I feel a great deal of guilt when I do. This month I decided to use this to my advantage and I joined a month long weight loss motivation group, the Skinny Minis. We have daily challenges and weekly goals and I am accountable not just to the entire group but to a specific partner. I have found that I have been trying harder because I know there are people watching! But unlike my original thought that the negative reinforcement and guilt would motivate me, it is actually there kind words of encouragement and seeing how hard they are all working that has kept me going. Now I have by no means been perfect up to this point. I have struggled to meet the goals, but these ladies have kept me going!
I guess the moral of the story is that I am so happy I have found a support group. I have tried using MFP and other calorie counting websites before, but I really think I can stick with it this time and that sort of hope is a great feeling to have

I wish I could find a group like that where you not only have a group but a specific partner. I would love to have someone motivate and challenge me and do the same in return. I have mfp friends and learn from all of them everyday but i think it would be great to be partnered up with someone with similar body types and goals.0

I am not sure if we are doing an October challenge, but I am sure if we do it will be "the more the merrier" sort of attitude! The lady in charge of the skinny-minis is kristic84. I think you should friend her/ ask about it if you are interested. It would be really great to have you as part of the support group, they really are a great bunch of ladies!0 -
