when you weigh ur meat do you weight it raw or after you have cooked it?

    I usually weigh it after it's cooked.

    usually cooked, but if u measure 4 oz of uncooked meat it is usually = 3 oz cooked

    so tonight I had sirloin steak.....4oz raw. does that mean when I looked up sirloin steak 4oz it was cooked?

    Usually cooked. However, pay attention to the nutrition info on the label and go with what it says. A lot of them will have raw/unprepared vs. prepared info.

    usually cooked weighs 1 oz less than raw...but read your label cuz it just depends!
