Need some help to keep me on track

Hi!
I am nearing my 40th birthday and am finding it more difficult to lose weight. Especially after having my son 6 years ago. I am 5'5'" and have fluctuated between 110 lbs (my wedding) and my current weight around 141/142lbs. Obesity runs in my family-- my grandmother was extremely obese and my mother suddenly gained a lot of weight when she was about my age and never got it off. I am worried my body will follow the same path. About 4 years ago, I lost 20lbs and got down to 120lbs using this calorie counting app. But the weight slowly came on again. This process is SO hard and takes so much discipline for months at a time. Plus, the stresses of work, parenthood, etc. My weakness is especially overdoing the wine in the evening. I know I am drinking too much and have been accumulating belly fat. I have tried to launch a diet again so many times, but it's so hard to stick to it. What I need is sharing with others to motivate me and keep me on track!

My plan is to eat 1200 calories a day, and only have dinner and drinks on the weekends. During the week, not eating after 4pm.0

That's a lot of changes all at once along with a potentially unnecessarily low calorie intake. Like, it'd be better to not set yourself up for struggle and strife lol
Why not cut out the wine to start and gradually work in some exercise (which, curiously, wasn't mentioned at all in your post)?
The nutrition piece - via food choices and lower caloric intake - can also take a more a gradual approach.
This is a lifelong effort, afterall, seeing as you mentioned that there may be a hereditary component to this.
