Do whatever works to keep you on target for your calorie budget! Some people here eat one meal per day, and find they aren't hungry the rest of the time. Others need to or feel more satisfied by more frequent meals that aren't quite so large. I'm a three meal + one snack person most days, but I've done just two meals per day before and been fine. What matters for weight loss is creating a caloric deficit. How you do that will be a very individual thing, and it might not be the same thing now that it is in six months or a year.5 -
Use a lot of veg to make the meal big.2

I would think that is pretty normal, if that is what your body is used to. Maybe just start by cutting a little at a time and then cut more and more as your body gets used to it??1

I make mixing bowl sized salads several times a week. This week it’s been leftover homemade Greek salad and chopped “Greek” chicken on a bag of mixed greens. Sadly, it’s all eaten up now.
So making homemade paneer and grilled bell peppers with commercial Masala Tikka sauce for the next batch of giant salads.
I also like to take a carton of tomato soup, add a can of diced tomatoes, Italian or herbes de Provence and chopped ham or Italian chicken sausage. It makes a huge pot of thick, filling soup, and fills a large pot.4
