The site myfitnesspal.com has been reported to possibly have suffered a data exposure that could include emails, usernames and passwords. The possible exposure would have happened in February 2018 although it was reported in February 2019

What should I do? • We recommend you log into and change the password to any accounts where you use this email address to log in. Furthermore, be aware of any suspicious emails asking for your personal information as they may be phishing attempts designed to fool you into providing sensitive information to malicious websites.

THIS IS FROM IDX, which I have a sub to now that my health insurance provider was hacked. I never received any information from MFP about this breach. I think by law they are required to notify us. Has anyone received notice of htis breach???

Yes, long since, as in back around when it happened. I don't remember exactly what was said - it's been too long - but we were told there'd been a problem, were asked to change passwords, etc.

I remember being notified of it at the time (in 2018) and needing to update my password.

Yes I was notified and required to change password. Your email notification may have ended up in junk mail?

I got several notifications at the time, I felt like MFP did a good job keeping me in the loop post-breach.

Yep they emailed members at the time, I did as told and changed. It immediately

Last year I had a string of scam messages using that old password, reported those scammers immediately as I was well aware that they had bought old information

I had to deactivate my email and start a new one. It kept circling the dark web according to my capital one report. Total pain to transfer all info across all accounts.

The trouble with these breaches is that so many people have the same password (or a guessable variation) here, there and everywhere.
