mine started at 37% then 30% and now 28% would like to be 24%0
-
mine is roughly around 21 % I am good with that, Wouldnt mind 20 % but I am not going to kill myself over it :bigsmile:0
-
I'd like to be at 22% or 21%, currently at 27%0
-
I started at 47% ... I am down to 29%0
-
Mine is 27% and I want to get down to 22%. When I was college cheerleader it was 17% so I think 22% would be fabulous!0
-
Curently 24%, down from 27%, would love to see 22%!!0
-
I started at 37-ish. Currently 34.4% by my scale, 35% by your site. My goal right now is 25% but we'll see how I feel as I approach that.0
-
Started at 34%, now at 27%, would like to be between 18-23%0
-
Mine says:
13.2%
I have no idea what percentage I want lol.
I entered 85 pounds and it still said 13.2%, I entered 200 pounds and it still said 13.2% xD
I have no idea my goal percentage >_< So I guess I will say 8% or less?0 -
don't forget that as you grow older (year by year) it is considered okay and healthy to carry slightly more fat! I don't know why and i am not sure i agree, but at 52 and 24% I feel fit and happy.....now if I were 18 or 25 years old......
might feel different....
my message is DO NOT get locked onto a number....live where it feels good and love your body!0 -
Currently its about 24%. I would be ok with 20 but ideally I want to get down to 18%0
-
Currently 27% would love to be 23%0

Thanks for the quick replies. I just find it so interesting because when I first measured it i was at 28.5%. And now, in probably about a month i've reached 25.9%. I'm quite surprised by how quickly it changes. My goal BF% was 20%. And I like how quickly I am getting there, but thinking i might end up wanting to go a little lower than that0
-
38.5 - will be interesting to see how much it goes down over a month0

Says mine's at 14.2%. Huh, that can't be right. I'd be bones if I were like that. I still have a chubby gut and moobs, although they're getting smaller, they're still there.0

Maybe because men have a lower BF% naturally?0 -
This is a greater indicator for me on this journey than what the scale says.
I have a handheld monitor to keep track.
It, like the scale, seems to be rather moody. But today I am now at 35.5- which is .5 away from being on the high side of normal. I'm shooting for midway, like around 29%.
I am SO excited to see that number go down. I was @ 40.4 % at the beginning of the year when I was @ my highest weigh0 -
I'm currently at 24%, but I'd love to drop it down to 20% at some point. I'd also like to get a more accurate testing, preferably a DEXA scan. I've been on Depo provera for many years, so they're going to give me one soon to check my bone density (since this can cause bone loss), so hopefully they'll clue me into my body fat, too...0

Keep in mind the healthy range of body fat for your sex and age...like I'm 24 and that site said I'm about 33% so I could healthily get down to about 21% since I'm a female. We ladies have breasts and store fat differently than men. I think that for my body type, 24% or so is probably the healthiest possible for me.
Women
Age Underfat Healthy Range Overweight Obese
20-40 yrs Under 21% 21-33% 33-39% Over 39%
41-60 yrs Under 23% 23-35% 35-40% Over 40%
61-79 yrs Under 24% 24-36% 36-42% Over 42%
Men
Age Underfat Healthy Range Overweight Obese
20-40 yrs Under 8% 8-19% 19-25% Over 25%
41-60 yrs Under 11% 11-22% 22-27% Over 27%
61-79 yrs Under 13% 13-25% 25-30% Over 30%

I must add, I had the very trusty Dunk in water, body fat test. so I know mine is correct, and not going by a chart.0

I used your link and got this
Body Mass Index: 40.0 kg/m2
Waist-to-Height ratio: 0.83
Percent Body Fat: 65.7%
Lean Body Mass: 33.4 kg
You are overweight by 36.7 kilograms (80.7 pounds)
You need to exercise at least 30 minutes every day.
Minimum caloric requirements: 1701 Calories per day
Limit your food intake to 1445 calories per day.
to lose 0.9 Kg per month.
Your diet should contain at least 48 grams of protein per day.
It's actually the first one that hasn't come up error on me! I even have a handheld one at home that only works for my partner but comes up error for me!0 -
34.8 apparently v_v
I hate that my lean body mass is 120.5.... that's my ultimate goal weight but I'll never get to it if that's my esstentials [bones, organs etc]0 -
I have lost around 20lbs in a month and half and am still 48% body fat (according to my Tanita scales). Not a happy bunny.

My BMI is around 21.5, and my BF% is somewhere between 21 and 26 depending on the calculator.0
